Novel Scissor Designs

It seems like most designers are content to redesign the same objects over and over, chairs, wrist-watches and shoes etc. But Efrat Gommeh devotes some time to the humble pair of scissors coming up with a plastic fold out design and a pair that can be operated with just your fingers.

New Shredder Scissors

This is a brand new set of scissors but I found the design interesting. It would certainly be more labor intensive than a shredder but a good alternative for someone who just wants to destroy receipts and other personal documents before discarding them. Available from the Container Store.
