Compton (1899-) made scissors and shears as well as tin snips, razors and button-hole punches. Common brand and marketing names include Reliance and U-set.

 The advertising slogans included:
  • "Compton are good for a lifetime"

Description: As shown. Remnants of black paint. Stamped with a 1941 patent. These are tailor's shears.  They have a very pleasing design, in my opinion.
