Stork Scissors
The stork scissor design descends from a style of clamp used by midwives. However for the last 200 years stork scissors are general smaller thread cutting scissors used in embroidery and other thread-crafts. These stork scissors are general gold toned and small in size--like the example shown left in an 1899 advertisement for Clauss Shears.

Dagger Scissors
Dagger scissors are also called bodice scissors or a whore's dagger. They were said to serve both a scissors and a lady's self-defense weapon. However others argue they wee not in serious use and were purely a novelty item. These were common from the medieval through to the Victorian period.
