The Antique Tool Collector's Guide to Value

There are very few antique, object value or collecting books that include substantial mention of scissors. One book, The Antique Tool Collector's Guide to Value by Ronald S. Barlow (1991), includes a section titled "Scissors and Shears".

However 90% of this tiny two page section is given over to some illustrations of some basic types of scissors, snips, clippers and shears. The two scant paragraphs of text give some basic ideas of the generally low values of antique scissor-type tools. However even the 1999 edition with updated values is now seriously out of date.

This book might be worth a quick look in the library, but not value for money if your interest is restricted to scissors rather than extending to antique tools in general.
